Equipment

Buying the right equipment for the right sport is necessary when you want to be a participant.  You need a ball, a basket, a goal, a glove (or two!), a puck, a stick, a paddle, a bat, a net, protective gear, and the proper clothing.  It can be expensive.  If we are going to invest our money (which we already are), let’s invest it wisely in equipment that does the most good and least harm to people, animals, and the environment around the world.  And, while we’re at it, let’s make sure athletes around the world have the equipment they need to participate.  Thankfully, individuals, athletes, organizations, and companies, locally and globally, are already making ethical and humane choices regarding the equipment they wear and the knowledge they share.  Here are a few, as well as some of our own ideas on the matter.
